color swatches

We first explored how colors can "change" by being in proximity to other colors.

color grid

After mixing watercolors to form a 12x12 grid where the colors on the y axis are the more prominent ones in the mix, I made a piece with one row of colors (yellow ocre)

movies with colors in their titles

I wanted to take a look at movies that alluded to colors in their titles and see if the color they mention is indeed a common theme throughout the movie. Thus, I watched Pretty in Pink, Moulin Rouge, and Men in Black and took swatches of color when a color stood out to me. I then picked a few colors from that large color palette and designed a movie poster based off of those colors only.
